We hosted our Sixth Form Induction Day on Wednesday 28th June 2023. The event saw both new starters and existing Year 11s, come together to start preparing for September. The day included the opportunity to meet the Sixth Form tutor team, learn more about the academic timetable and enrichment program, an opportunity to reflect on the experiences students have had this year and start developing appropriate study skills. Students took part in team building activities led by University of South Wales such as a STEM Building Task and a Team Building Assault Course. Our Khalsa Cadet’s also led team building activities which students took part in such as the Minefields Assault Course and the Spider-web Challenge. We also had De Montfort University in who delivered a ‘Why Choose Higher Education’ workshop to the students.  

The induction day was an opportunity for students to find out everything they needed to know ahead of official sixth form enrolment in August. The day gave students the chance to see what it’s like preparing for sixth form life each day.
